I know that a lot of you shop for fabric, patterns, books, etc online. So-would you please share your favorite web site with us, so we can check it out too?

I am a very traditional quilter who likes more primitive fabric and patterns. My favorite website is Fat Quarter Quilters. They are super friendly, have a great selection of fabric and patterns, fast shipping with good rates, and answer emails promptly if you have questions. But one of my favorite things about their site is the fact that when you look at a pattern they tell you all the sizes of the quilt and all the fabric requirements for making it. That way you can order a pattern and the fabric to make it with all at one time!! Hope you enjoy looking at their website as much as I do.

Retrogirl-thanks for more websites!! See, this is good. I have been paying $6-10 for patterns and you have given me so many free ones I will never be able to make them all!!

Have you been to the Illinois State Museum to see the quilts? It looks like they have an awesome collection!!

Any time...I LOVE the freebies! No, I haven't talked the kids into going and hubby is always working but think it would be a nice road trip. I've seen the ones at Indianapolis. DH had to take the kids on to the next exhibit because I was so slow LOL. Anyway, I can visit whenever I like online and plan to check out some Indiana quilt shows this fall, too.

    Granny Cat,
You go girl. Podcast....hmm I'm not quite there yet but someday! I second your love of this site. It's such a great place to check into. I've learned more in the short time I've been here than I have the past couple of years on my own. Thanks to everyone for all your ideas, tips, and good cheer.
