When my daughter had her Bridal Shower, I gave her her hand pieced queen size quilt top( over 3000 pieces) after the shower she gave it back to me to hand quilt. That was 18 years ago. I have about 2/3 of the hand quilting done. I want to finish it this year before their anniversary in Sept. and give it to them.

I would like to finish a BOM that I started last August (not so very far behind). This is doable.

Mine is to finish at least 2 kits, keep my sewing space organized-cleaning after each project, and get my fabric, books and patterns organized. I also have a list that I hope to stay focused on.

I have 30 tops ready to quilt and I want to GET THEM DONE, and to start 30 more. I am NOT going to quit buying fabric everyone has a vice and mine is fabric buying.

This year I would like to do the following things:
1. Clean organize quilting room, organize fabric and clean up after each project.
2. Finish a quilt for a friend - Christmas gift
3. Make a quilt for my daughter's 40th birthday (March)
4. Stay on task with quilting friends.
5. Quilt at least 4 tops that are completed this year.

I am hoping to make forward progress on my DJ, complete three quilt tops, and hand quilt one.

1) Start working through my small projects that are in various stages. (I am good at starting something not finishing it.)
2) Take a few tops to be long-armed.
3) Bind the 2 quilts that need to be bound.
and this is the most important...
4) Set aside one evening a week (from after I get home from school till I head to bed) and spend it in my sewing room! Maybe then I might accomplish some of my above goals.

First of all, start relaxing and enjoying the process more. Less worry about perfection, more completion.
Pam B- I had a similar thought. If I could go straight to my sewing space a few days a week after work (teaching), I could get so much more done and I bet, be a happier person.
