where to buy charm packs
#11
Thanks for the replies. I'm going to check them out now. One more question. Does Joanns have charm packs? I didn't see any on line but I know that the stores have more that they have on line.
Thanks again.

I'll be adding some charm packs to my ebay store tonight. Just got them all packaged up and pics taken. I always start the bidding at a penny. They come 15 5" squares to a pack. Great bargain!!! Check them out if you get a chance.

This is where I buy some of them... go to the closeout section for pre cut closeouts. If I'm going to make a big quilt, you can get more bang for your buck here :):):) Last spring I bought the Moda anniversary charm pack sets in metal tins for a song. My niece and I are both the proud owner of a lot of them, and are planning to make matching quilts.

I have purchased charm packs but sometime when I have made a quilt and have a little fabric left over, I will cut 5" squares and put them in a bag. That way I am not spending any more money. The 5" sqs I cut are like a gift. As a suggestion, if you are going to do this, you should cut 2 of each as some of the patterns require 2 of each piece of fabric.
We had a charm pack challenge at our quilt guild. If you wanted to join, you cut 50 sqs (2 of each fabric); put them in a bag and later when everyone that wanted to do this gathered and the packs of charms were exchanged and we made quilts. We showed them later at a meeting during our show/tell segment.
Have fun!
