i love the Amish quilt shops which are about 30 miles away. We take a group of women and make a day of it. the prices are low, the selection is fantastic and the fabric is good quality.

Although I support my LQS throughout the year, I recently found a thrift store that has been a terrific source for me. I recently purchased a big rolled up piece of Thermolam (a little soiled on one edge-but it is washable) and a few cuts of South Sea, Benartex.

Our local quilt shop closed recently so now I shop on line and make a trek to Mary Jo's every so often.

I have several quilt shops all within 25-30 miles, so I can take my pick. My local WalMart never lost it's fabric and there are 2 JoAnn's within 20 miles of my house. Is there any wonder why my stash is getting out of hand? I live in the country BTW. Lucky, huh.

Are you kidding? Maybe my boyfriend would actually go with me to the fabric store without making his sad-baby-seal face if they had sporting goods. Wish we had one of those.

My area has two Joanns and four quilt shops not to far away.
One shop, 35th Ave Sew and Vac, just moved into a new store that is as big as a supermarket. Mulqueens has all their fabric for $6.99 a yard regular price and has dollar off sales.
But I still buy online alot. You get such good sales online.
There are also four Walmarts but the closest one only has precuts but they are getting fabric back. A couple of the others still have fabric.

I do most of my shopping online. If I am heading to an area with a lot of shops I go armed with coupons  and a list :D:D:D

Everywhere.

There are six or eight great quilt shops within easy driving distance, but I'm so happy with the Civil War specialist one that that's the only one I go to, locally. The employees are all friendly, there are constantly new fabrics and products in the shop, but they keep plenty of "old standards," too. They have interesting BOM and classes - and on Mondays, if you buy ten or more FQ's, you get 30% off all of them! LOVE that store!

I love fabric.com, judipat47 & franks11 on eBay, connectingthreads.com, quiltinaday.com, whittlesfabrics.com, betterquiltkits.com - all wonderful! :)
