I'm still looking and watching for a good, vintage Singer but so far no luck. DH is at an estate sale right now, and called to say there is a White 130 in a cabinet for $35.

Should we bring it home, or keep looking? I can't find much online about them. Thanks in advance!

p.s. he says it's pretty shades of green and has the knee thingie instead of a foot pedal. Sounds like my old home-ec machines.

Tell him to get it. If you find you don't want it you can sell it .....either way your a winner:)

Wow...that was a great video! Thanks!

He had already left the sale but is heading back to get it.

Thanks for your input, everyone!

I've got a vintage White and these machines are BEASTS. Well worth the $35!

It is a great machine, high quality in it's time. Buy it and keep sewing.

Well, she is home and looks pretty dang good :) And her name? THE BEAST, of course! lol

I'll take pictures soon as I get her in her permanent home.

And yes, hubby is a really really good guy. It took me a lot of years to find him, but he is a blessing to me on many levels and I'm thankful every day for him. And not just because he supports my fabric habit with no questions asked. LOL
