That's what I do. I keep different widths, 2.5, 2.0 and 1.5 in different bins. That pretty much gaurantees I use up all the usuable fabric.

Yes.....the 2 1/2" strips are used a lot.That's the standard size of Jelly Roll strips.
I'm using the Go cutter, but as long as you cut accurately,with no fabric bowing,whatever works is fine.

one of my favorite parts of quilting is the cutting of the fabric.....so if i get a pattern for strip quilting, i do cut my own.....works for me!!!! gina

I have considered buying pre-cuts, but have been put off, mainly because I'm a pre-washer and here they are expensive and wrapped so you can't "feel" the fabric (fussy devil aren't I!). I don't mind cutting, so I think I'll put together my own "rolls"...just need to refine my stash building skills.

Yup me too... One way of getting organized and saving time for future projects if they are already cut and sorted by size and colors..

I always cut a couple of jelly rolls from newly purchased fabric. So much nicer than the purchased ones with the pinked edges.

YES I use my Accuquilt Go. Sure saves me money!!!!Those jelly rolls were expensive.

I bought one Moda jelly roll and made it into the 1600 jelly roll quilt. It was ok, but from now on, I think I'll cut my own. I wasn't pleased with all their fabric selections and it was pricey. Same for charm squares.
