Quilting is all about artistic expression. So express anyway you want. I am new at Machine quilting, and my results are not technically perfect, but I love to pick the colors and put them together. I usually give them away to people who do not quilt and think they are marvelous. Mostly new mothers!

This is what I was taught also for hand and machine quilting....but again it's your quilt and the only place it would make any difference at all was if you were entering it in a quilt show.

Rules do not apply to your Artistic Muse. Same goes for chocolate and naps.

Should have told her, "Yeah, and I step on cracks in the sidewalk, too, and you know what? Never once broke my mother's back!"
