Posts of our mistakes might help others. I loved the post of the curtains. One panel was much shorter than the other panel. I know everyone laughed and felt happier for having seen it. I know to start in the middle of the quilt sandwich and quilt center out, center down, center up, but did I do it? No. I listed. I was using decorative stitches in matching colors of thread, on my Swish Bargello. Quilted through the center and while I have that color of thread on let me do this strip at the bottom right. Oh, there is another one here on the far left. Did I keep doing that with each color thread? Yes.
I have 32 hours rip out and repair time for that decision. The first day my husband was as quiet as a mouse. He tried to act like he wasn't watching me. The second day he seemed to avoid the sunroom where I was working. The 3rd day he said "hon, how much do you have to rip out".
No, I didn't take a photo of the kitty whampus backing. It is etched forever in my mind.
This sounds like fun; count me in too. Now for a good laugh, check out my last GOOF!
Down zigzag - Up zigzag; Down zigzag - Up zigzag---er Nope. Seam ripper please! lol Or, since this is a charity quilt, perhaps I will just put some nice children's fabric on back and say that is the front without taking quilt apart. After all, what child is going to say this is wrong. Some boy would probably just drive his toy car up-down the zigzags as if racing on the autobahm.

Doesnt life think about us quilters? Don't they know that when we are concentrating on what we are doing, that it is supposed to cook for us, clean for us, and all that other stuff Life decides it wants. LOL

    Count me in.

Here is my newest WIP. I am doing this while waiting for the silk velvet to arrive to finish the silk quilt. This is a QAYG project I am doing for the same DDIL. I owe her 2 Christmases. She loves the beach and hopes to have a beach house some day; so this is for the future beach house.
