Holice - I followed the link someone gave to your designs and they are fabulous.
I think designing these would be a fun challenge. Perhaps sometime later I'll give it a whirl.
I'm also seeing a difference in terminology in this thread - when I hear wholecloth quilt - I envision a single piece of fabric, solid color with exquisitely detailed quilting. I don't think of the "cheater" cloth (not meaning cheater in a derogatory term) that looks like a pieced quilt and can be quilted.
Cheers, K

I don't want to derail this thread, but I'm wondering if someone can clear up for me what exactly a whole-cloth quilt entails. I've seen them b-4, but never knew how they were done. Do you draw your design on and then quilt the design and wash out your lines? What about the ones that are colored exactly where the quilting is? Are those colored after being quilted?
I'm loving all the links!

Holice Turnbow created some nice wholecloth quilts in different sizes for Benartex. I haven't seen them in LQS, but then the Middle East is quilt deprivation territory! I think quiltingstencils.com, christianlane.com and amazon.com have them.

Get in touch with board member "borntohandquilt" . She does AMAZING wholecloth quilts and lives in Germany.
I'm a hand quilter and doing a wholecloth quilt is on my bucket list, but I'll have to wait until I'm better at hand quilting.
