With all the patterns out there available to download, why can't I find a good one for a sling purse? or some call it a HoBo purse. My daughter would like me to make one that you sling over your head and hangs down the other side. My MIL wants one too but I'm having a hard time finding a pattern. I guess I'm not looking in the right places. Can anyone help? Thanks ahead of time!

Here's a free hobo purse pattern, super easy, you can make the handles any length you want and since the short handle slides into the long handle, there's a little extra added security for the purse part. And it's reversible.

This is the site showing the one I made.

I'm going to post the whole link here rather than just the sling one, and maybe someone else can find something they like too.

My stepdaughter many years ago had one that I drooled over. It was made from buttery soft leather, was just 2 large pieces of leather that slung over her shoulder. It had an outside zipper pocket that hung against her for safety, not on the side away from her body. She used it for traveling a lot, said it was comfortable to wear and could hold a lot of necessities. I think it would be described as being a circle with the bottom half a swollen pouch, with the zipper running up part way on each end of it.

Clear as mud?
I'm thinking I might make myself one of denim to match my jeans. Might be nice to make one to match traveling pant suits.
It would be a very simple pattern.
