Everyonce in awhile, someone will post a thread that I know contains a photo, but I can't see it! Any suggestions as to why this happens?

This happens to me from time to time. When it does happen try to refresh your page, that's what I do and it works.

This happens to me..especially since I upgraded my computer. I right click on the X & open in a new tab. It usually brings the picture up. Hope that helps.

You also may have a connection that is quite slow and it takes longer than you expect for the picture to download. I had that problem before I switched from AT&T air card to Verizon MiFi in our area.

Another possibility is that the program the poster used is not compatible with your programs on your computer or you do not have the particular program which your computer needs to read the picture's program it was created on. This happened to me several years ago with an older computer I had. I had to get a certain program to convert the posting to a picture.

I've also gotten the message b/f the pictures are attached, refresh usually works as the poster then has time.

Sometimes, the poster will click the "Store Original" box when posting. Instead of the picture, a the hotspot word "Download" will appear. You need to click this and download the picture file. You have to have the correct application to open the picture file, but they are usually stored in a common file type.

When there is no pic and I see that others have commented on it, I just wait. It eventually appears. This happens about every 15 or so subjects. Some days it doesn't happen at all. I will try the refresh next time it happens.
