Sorry I can't help you. Just had to tell you, and pleases don't be offended, but I laughed myself silly reading your post. I have done this more than once over the years and am really glad I'm not the only one out there. Good luck finding your information. I was recently looking for a quilt book I had for a friend to borrow. I found four books that were duplicates and I don't remember buying the first ones or why. I really need to reign myself in when it comes to quilt stuff shopping. But is sure is fun.

I just finished cleaning and organizing my sewing room and sadly found more than one duplicate of a few items! And I've done just what you have. I know there is some reason I bought the book or magazine but later I don't always remember what the reason was. Hopefully it will come to you.
