Why do I do this....
I'm just now falling in love with quilts that have houses on them....better late than never right? Saw a particular one on Pinterest that took my breath away. Houses, stars and pine tree's , oh my! Followed the link and it took me to many places that really didn't lead me to where to buy the pattern. Today while on Pinterest again, I see the quilt made by someone else with the correct link with it, only to find it's in a book that I had and sold at the beginning of the year. Now I have to buy it again. Has anyone else done this to themselves? Please tell me I'm not the only one. If you click through the pictures in the book you wil see the one I'm talking about.

What I do more is sell a book then go look for it like you do. I will then go to the library to find it again before I purchase it again. Usually there is only one thing I want from it, a single pattern or copy of a photo. It is always frustrating.

I can see how you want to make that one. The quilt is a perfect example of cute and scrappy quilt design. Now I want to order the book. LOL!
Did you see this one by the same designer?

I did see that one, and it's cute, but I feel the other one will be more of a challenge to me and will keep me busy during the winter months. Who knows, with all my scrap fabric maybe I'll make a small wall hanging from the pattern you suggested too.

Oh yes!!! I have done that before so don't feel so bad. Very nice patterns in this book and you picked out an adorable one to make. There are a lot of house patterns that are free and you could always add trees and stars to your house pattern. I have a Halloween quilt right now at the LA quilter that I put trees and houses on. I just went thru my patterns and put blocks together. I also will buy a pattern I like and come home to see that I already have that pattern!!! Must have really liked it. I also printed out "the village" house pattern but I see that someone else has told you about that.

You might want to check the "Be my Neighbor" pattern. It's free.

I haven’t been guilty of that with quilting items yet but I have done it with household items. It’s frustrating but my feeling is I would rather have to re-buy something occasionally than try to keep every little thing that “might be useful.” I am not a fan of clutter.
