regarding price of blades, I have a friend who buys lots on Ebay and then sells them to a couple of us. Last time cost was $5.00 for a package of 5. Why sharpen them at that price. I just went through 2 blades, the 3rd is my cutter now, in less than a month, no marathon cutting, so I replaced my mat with a 50% off coupon.

WalMart here doesn't have fabric but it sells rulers, mats and rotary cutters. I can get a package of 5 Fiskar blades 45mm for $15.

Will be interested in hearing about this also. With 40% and sometimes 50% at JoAnn's is the time to buy and stock up.
