Thank you all for your good advice on the Halo. I had noticed the C shaped one and wondered if that would be easier to use but I guess not so I'm glad I asked on the Board. I can always count on you guys and gals for the best advice.

You can make your own halo. I got 2 ft of radiator hose from the hardware store and hooked it together with a piece of dowel. I works great and so far doesn't mark the fabric.

I watched Sharon doing a feather inside of the her red Halo ring and she makes it look so easy but then she makes everything look easy. I am sure it's harder than it looks but it does look handy. It has the rubber on it to grip the quilt and is stiff enough to push/pull the quilt around. Hmmm, I'm thinking I would love to at least try it. I usually kind of make about the same shape with my Machingers gloves on but I think this would cause less muscle strain?
