I LOVE the look of wonky log cabin quilts.

Does anyone have a good tutorial or pictures of their own they'd like to share?

Here is a wonky log cabin that I just finished it has fussy cut centers and then the logs were sewn around it. the other one (red and black) is actually a Drunk Love 2 tone by DS but really its just a big chunky wonky logs that make but the log cabin block! Here is a great tutorial for making one, http://tallgrassprairiestudio.blogsp...-tutorial.html (I love this blog)

    Good luck!

I follow that blog, and it's a wonderful one!

I checked a book out of my library- a Gwen Marston/Freddie Moran collaboration book and it was pretty cool. It opened my eyes to the "wonky" quilts. I have yet to make one, but I have been collecting men's shirts and other thrift store fabrics to make one out of.

Also, there are a lot of wonky log cabin quilts on Flickr- just do a search for them.

Thank you all for the comploments on the quilts.

Alaska, I searched for that fabric for about three months and finally found it at Quilters Roundup! I have since searched the net more than once and I can not evne find it there anymore! http://www.quiltersroundup.com/ here is their website you might be able to call them and see if they still have any! Either way the name of the fabric is "Surf's Up" It is by Michael Miller! Good luck!

Again your quilt is wonderful, so pretty and a fresh looking. Makes me wanna jump in the Caribbean and swim with them all again. What a rush that was.
