Default Woodland Christmas Wall Hanging

My wonderful neighbor, who volunteers at our local senior thrift store, told me someone had just brought in a bunch of "quilting stuff" ... so I dashed over to take a look ... made an offer on the whole stash and came home with a glorious amount of good, brand new quilting fabrics. Included in the stash was this wonderful Woodland Christmas Panel, just begging me to sandwich & quilt it!!! I used white backing, and the thickest batting I had to give it dimension. I free motion quilted it, enjoying every minute!! Then I turned the red border to the back & hand stitched it. I added a real shiny star button to enhance it! I just love it and wanted to share my Woodland Christmas!

I have the same panel and mine is probably 25 or more years old. I hand quilted around the individual animals to give it some dimension. Husband then framed it and used to hang it over the mantle. With that many years passing, the fabric probably could be considered vintage.
