    I'm sooo happy!

My quilt has been accepted for the World Quilt Competition 2010! It will be shown in August in Manchester, NH and later in Philadelphia, San Francisco and Schaumburg, IL. I'm so proud...

It's a strippy quilt in two shades of light yellow. I'm not allowed to show a picture in advance - but for sure I will do it after the show!

The name of the quilt is ANGLESIT and my name is Andrea Stracke. The number they sent to me is 4505. As far as I know it's allowed to take pictures at the show, I don't have anything against it! But I'm sure they will mention it there when it should be forbidden.

Based on the work you have shown us so far I had absolutely no doubts you would be accepted. In fact I would have been downright shocked if you had not. Congrats. Manchester is a couple of hours away from me but I may just try and make it to see your beautiful workmanship. Good luck!!

And rightly sew!!! Your quilts are exquisite!!! I handquilt, but have never attempted to do a wholecloth let alone make the design myself.
Yours will definitely be a WINNER!!! Keep us posted! Congratulations!

Well, as far as I know the rules for this competition are not so strict like sometimes here in Europe and the organisators don't prohibit a publication in the internet or anywhere else specifically - but I don't want to risk anything so they would have a reason disqualify me.

I don't blame you, it would be sad to be disqualified for any reason at this point. I can't wait to see it when you can post a pic.
