katkat1946, you are making me think that I missed a section, but I was sure I saw it all. Maybe I'm on quilt overload.

I first saw this wedding quilt in the Trinity Valley Quilter's Guild show in Fort Worth TX w-a-y back there, maybe even in 1989 or 1990, even recalling exactly where it was hung in that show. I remember how it knocked everyone's socks off at the time! It's nice to see she is still showing it and entertaining a new generation of quilters.

Thanks for the memory with your photo.

We did go and the show was amazing.

Did you get to see the back of this one? According to a volunteer in another part of the show, there were pictures and written descriptions of the life of the man in the quilt. We couldn't find a lady with a gloved hand but were able to pull back the black screening behind the quilt to expose one quarter of it. I wish I'd been able to see the whole back.

I didn't like the setup of the show - part in the main room and the rest in the armory room. I understand that the MQX expo is moving back to Manchester from Providence and given the size of that show, suspect they'll do the same thing. I just found it a bit awkward.

I did the same as you. I'm glad MQX will be there again as I didn't want to go all the way to RI and didn't get the best vibes about that location anyway. The Radisson does it all very well. As far as the two rooms go, every time I've attended this show it's been this way. Perhaps it gives the vendors more traffic? Lots of vendors sure helps attract attendees and it all helps the organizers to put on a great show like this one. There was even a little overflow of displays into a large meeting room adjacent to the 'second' room. This is where the 'floor tile' quilts were.

    Katkat,

I live 1/2 hour from Providence and 1 1/2 hours from Manchester. Every time I go to Providence I get lost and getting to the Radisson was **sew** easy. Trust me, I'll get over the physical arrangements for a great show.
