Would like your opinions on quilting this
Specifically, would you do something separate in the sashing and for the blocks, or just choose an all-over design? I will be quilting on a Handi-Quilter sit-down Sweet 16, but due to hand difficulties I can't use a ruler, so no straight lines. Thanks!

What a fun quilt! I would be inclined to do a geometric design to reflect the background pattern or a large meander to balance the squares.
Something like this that is easy enough to do freehand

I would never attempt this myself (not talented enough). But I could see a different pattern for each square or the same pattern on every square, then treat the remainder of the quilt as wide sashing and choose an appropriate pattern.

This is what I would do too. The plain squares are the perfect canvas for one repeating motif or different ones. Great way to practice FMQ. It comes down more to how fast do you want to finish this quilt. An all over pattern may be done more quickly than individual blocks (depending on what you choose for the allover pattern of course).
