Woohoo..and take that Walmart....we have a brand new quilt shop opened here last Thursday!!! I only had a few minutes to stop in at my lunchtime, (just found out about it this morning), but it is looking good!!! She has some lovely fabrics out already, and still filling shelves. She is also carrying some yarns. And yes, she is planning to hold classes in the fall. The owner says she has had wonderful response already in the few days she has been open. I KNOW I will be a returning customer. :)

That is awesome! I remember that excitement here. Unfortunately it didn't last-the shop here only carries the darker prints which is not my thing and refuses to carry anything more modern. :(

Lucky lucky you! Our LQS just announced she is closing  There is a relatively new shop in the works in the next town over and I am really hoping she will get her shop up and going with fabrics and classes and such. Right now they have lots of completed quilts for sale and a few FQs. I do try to go and buy a FQ or something about every two weeks to help support them. They want to start classes and I really hope they will--I'd be first in line. ENJOY your new LQS!!
