    Yellow border or not?

After putting this I Spy Through Attic Windows together, I thought that I could set off the center by this narrow yellow border. Now that it's on there, I'm not so sure any more.

A fabric stash is always missing that one fabric needed to finish the quilt on which you're working.

Both are beautiful and I love yellow, but I think the "windows" have more depth without it.

My vote is no yellow. Got any more of the dark blue?

I don't think the yellow adds anything. Cute quilt!

I like the yellow. I usually try to find a little-used color in the top to use for the border to make that color 'pop' a little more - if I want it to, that is.

Both are nice but like the one without the yellow better. The first picture my eyes go directly to the 3D windows. The one with the yellow kind of pulls my eyes to the border.

Yes, yes, yes to the yellow! Can you tell I love yellow? It really does make the centre pop for your quilt though.

I too vote for the yellow, seperates it from the border.

I prefer it with just the blue fabric border. I don't think it needs a stop border (the thin border) at all.

When I look at the first picture I see depth...and attic windows mimic real windows...with the blue fabric right up against it, it looks like it's more forward then the Spy squares, much like a wall and windows that we look out on the world at.

Do you have a spy glass? It's like a little door hole peeky thing. You can view the quilt through it and it makes it appear further away, it gives a wonderful perspective on the quilt and you get to see it with a different eye. I think if you could see it through one of those that the stop border is unnecessary.

That being said, it's your quilt and you can make it however you want, so please enjoy!!!
