Ps 150

I just came across a darling pattern for a fleece and/or flannel baby quilt that calls for fusible webbing. I know that I would just use Heat 'N' Bond Lite for the flannel, but what would you use for fleece? For most of the applique pieces, I can just pin it in place, but the tiny eye pieces are too small to just pin in place. So, what would you use to fuse fleece pieces?

Could you just use a glue stick to hold it in place while you stitch it?

I would try a bit of the heat and bond light and see if it works. I've never tried it, but I think the issue would be getting the iron hot enough to set the fusible, but not melt the fleece. Try it with some fleece scraps, or if you don't have any, for some reason Joanns always seems to have tons in the remnants bin.

I have used the heat bond lite and steam a seam with fleece and it has worked out just fine! My first attempt was actually fusing pics onto fleece...turned out great! Anyway, it should work fine for you! Great pattern!

When I make T-Shirt quilts, I use a web fusible called French Fuse. I think it would work very good. It stretches only one way, just make sure you put the stretch opposite the stretch in the fleece.

You could also spray baste. That's what I use on fleece when I use it as a backing.

I didn't know you could iron on fleece. I thought that since it is essentially plastic, that it was a no no. Thanks so much for all the input. I hadn't thought of spray basting or glue sticks, either!
