    Most stores carry kits .

If you are looking for a place where you have the pattern and just want the fabric , most stores would help you with that I would think, mine does

if you have the pattern that you want to use, why not take it to a quilt shop and let them help you pick out fabrics, that way you can understand how to pick out the fabrics

Anyway, I digress...

Anyone know of a place that will do that? Might be a good little side-line for a private person too! A personal fabric shopper to go with your personal machine quilter!

I'm a professional longarm quilter, and many of my clients are new to quilting and ask for my help with fabric and color choices. I help them with ideas and sometimes shopping.

Thx Crafty & Karen; looks like that site will help you find an actual already made kit and is a good resource! I'm looking to supply the pattern and fabric amts and say, "Make this up as a kit for me." Probably be pretty pricey, too. I know going with someone would teach me a lot, but I really don't care to learn all about choosing! I'd rather just do the quilt!

Looks like there are quite a few ways of getting my needs met!

Thanks all! Hopefully this has helped others, too!

I know this sure helped me! Thank you Kitsie for getting this started! I just don't think I'll EVER get the hang of colour so I too, would rather someone make the kit for me. Going to go check this site out.

A big thank you to all here for your help!

I am a personal fabric shopper for one of the women I know. Last weekend she asked for 14 different 1/2yd batiks. She makes quilted jackets usually for her Mother and I usually pick out her fabric for her. Most often I am on my own, once in a while she is with me. My goal is to teach her how to chose her own fabric.
I had student and I did her fabric shopping too.
