Default For you Jim Shore lovers!

Just thought you might want to know that Jim Shore is from South Carolina (at least that is what I am told!) His hometown of Heath Springs is about 30 minutes from where I live.

If you are ever enroute to Myrtle Beach, you might want to take a side trip to Heath Springs and stop in at The White House. I am told that it is Jim Shore's childhood home -- they have turned it into a shop with Jim's stuff as well as antique linens. AND, that's not all -- they have fabric -- Moda fabric for $6 a yard.

The gals that work there told me that Jim and Jan are working on a new quilt book that will be out in about another year or so.

I went yesterday and it was so fun to see it decorated for Christmas!

I have been there a few times. The house is where he and his wife lived and raised their children before he became famous. they now live nearby on a lake. The White House is the name of the shop. It has Jim Shore items for sale and the fabrics his wife designed from his carvings. They also have other Moda fabrics for a great price. Well worth the visit. But google and check the days open, they are not open every day. Also, have fun!!
