when you go to see the mansions in newport ri, there is a "behind the scenes" tour @ the elms... oldest best friend & i went there when she was here last fall, (for a shop hop) and we got scolded by the tour guide a couple times in the rooms that were the servents bedrooms... why... there were old delapodated (spelling) quilts on the beds & we were checking those out.....

also, we took our trip this spring driving frm ma to nc for the nc quilters symposium..stopped at the train station in wilmington de @ 7is (am) to add me to the car rental & found the most wonderful tile pattern on the wall... making a wall hanging of it...

when you can't leave the house without taking a lapquilt with you in case you would get cold. A person needs to be prepared :)

like that is going to happen is this heat!
