You look at everything, with the question will this work into a quilt, quilt design, etc.
Ask yourself, how can I repurpose this for a quilt or my quilting tools and studio?

You know your a quilter when perfect strangers walk up to you and ask if your a quilter. Then when they walk away you realize you have thread from the fabric all over the front of your shirt.
