When you take a bite of a sandwich & pull out a string. When you go to a clothing store with your DD & her friend & she says to her friend. "Watch Mom, she'll start feeling the fabric of the clothing." When you walk up to a stranger in a store or on the street & start talking just so you may get to touch their shoulder or arm just to feel the fabric. When you ask your GS if they want to go to town with you & their first question is, "are you going to the fabric shop?" Then they say no if you say yes.

I'm pretty sure we know we are quilters because, while we're reading all these posts, we feel as if we actually KNOW each other... and sometimes think about how much fun it would be to actually BE together for a day or two! Of course, we probably would not be able to communicate very well, because when you add all the decibels of all those conversations together, the din would be too loud to hear!! Can you picture it? makes me smile!!

You might be a quilter:
- if you get to the grocery store and find you still have a pair of scissors pinned to your shirt (the kind that retracts)
- if your husband tells you that you are not allowed to free motion quilt on the long arm after 8:30 at night. If you DO, you thrash around the bed in your sleep 'quilting' all night long. He does not like to be kicked! Imagine that!
- resemble all the other posts here as well! Seems I am in good company!

If you sit in church lusting after the shirt on the man in the pew in front of you.
If you ask him several months later (when he's wearing that shirt again) if he'd consider selling it to you.
If you are buying shirts for your DH & DS for Christmas and buy one for yourself. Not to wear, silly. To cut up for a quilt.

You know you are a quilter when you travel and your husband, who happens to be driving, says, "Honey there is a quilt shop at the next exit. I think you might need a rest stop." And then he stops, pulls out a book and say "Take your time."

LOL, I just had to read this one out to my DH. His reply? "You might be a dreamer if you think that is ever going to happen."
