Thumbs up You are NOT going to believe this!! I am getting a Singer 221 for~$20!!

I am shaking with excitement! The man said the belt looked new. He said he just wanted $20! We are picking the kids up from school and going to get it. I CANNOT WAIT!!

I know it's a featherweight, it has it's black box, but can you all tell me what the difference is between 221 and 222?

Thanks,
Angie

Wow, great price! The 221 is the one most of us have, with the hinged table to the left of the needle that can be flipped up. A 222 is much more rare and has a table "sleeve" that can be removed to make it a free arm.

Just google the 221 & 222 featherweights and you will see what they look like. They are much smaller than the standard machine and weight about 11 pounds. The 222 is much more rare and has the sleeve feature. (For some reason the exact term is not coming to me.
