I was just wondering if anyone else uses youtube to learn how to do a technique or how to use a certain tool? I have found some great videos that have given me a lot of help in some areas of quilting and made sence of some of the book instructions I have read.

I hope this is the right spot. I can't seem to get my post into the right forum topic.

Isn't it funny that so many of us who quilt are "visual" learners. I can have someone explain things repeatedly, no help, but show me once & I've got it!(usually, LOL)

I search youtube before Google. From making jam and canning pickles to quilting and everything inbetween. It's not at all just silly videos of whacky people.

I'm subscribed to the Missouri Star Quilt Co. YouTube page. I have used YouTube to look up certain techniques that I could use or things I'm a little curious about.

I actually used it yesterday for the first time, to help with my sewing and quilting. I bought a used White sewing machine (likely from the 70's, metal bobbins) and did not have a clue how to thread it, put the bobbin in, adjust the tension, etc. I did not get a manual with the machine. Did a little searching on Youtube, and voila! Up and running no problem!
