I have so many amazing memories, it’s hard to pick just one. I realized as I prepared to post this, just how blessed I am, thanks Kathy! 😊
I grew up very poor but my mom always managed to give us good Christmases. She was a silver smith and would make jewelry and sell it at Christmas bazaars and then use the money to fund our Holiday. She also used to pick a family, an acquaintance or neighbor who also was living in poverty and we would buy them gifts and sneak up to their porch and ring the bell and run leaving the “santa” gifts for them to find. She would tell us you are never too poor to give.

I am very sorry, Ladies, but I won't be taking part I this years Ornament swap. International postage is now beyond a joke, just far too expensive.
We are now retired and without an income, a new meaning to stretching the $$$'s.
I would like to wish you all a successful Ornament swap and I hope that you all have a wonderful Christmas.
We are hoping for open borders so we may see our grandsons.

Betty J - I think Marion signed up and she is in Western Australia. Maybe you could be partners as she is in the same predicament. Her user name in m-fay. I love having her as a partner as she is very talented and a sweetheart.

Betty J, that breaks my heart as you've been in this swap from the very beginning. You're right about International Postage. I looked up rates before volunteering to send outside USA -- they're absolutely outrageous! I could only commit to that because I started a part-time job in July at a local grocery Bakery. By the way, LOVE that; I feel like I'm being paid to play. Anyway, Nonnie's idea sure sounds like a winner!

Oh Marion, that is so nice of you to make that offer. I had thought that I would sign up if we could do a swap between us. I will go ahead and sign up and request that I swap with an Aussie member and I am sure that will be you. I do enjoy making ornaments for these swaps.
