I forgot to mention. In my pic 2, I show two line on the sq. When I sew a 1/2 square block, I usually make a line 1/2" away from the 1st line and sew on both lines. I then cut between both line 1/4" and have the 1/2 square I want and a smaller square to use for making a small wallhanging or potholder. I plan to make a pot holder with my left over squares this time. Happy sewing everyone.

I am so glad that you gave us the "liberty" to make our own center square. I was already planning on being a contrarian and not add the pumpkin. HUMMMMM who knows what I can plan. I have a guild work day on Saturday, so I will have time to start my quilt-a-long.

Happy Birthday, Barbara. Your envelope went in the mail yesterday and should be in your mail box tomorrow. I trust you celebrated all day with your friends and your family. Thank you all for the birthday wishes and the sweet candy squares... I have been opening packages on and off all day. (almost done) you ladies are so good to me. Besides the sweet candy that I truly love I also received lovely little extras. I received some Row by Row fabric, pattern, pin, charm and a license plate. Also a few of you gave me extra sets of squares, a flower to appliqué and a pattern for a cute pouch and postcard patterns. Everything is so nice. I feel very special today. The birthday cards are great and will take center stage on my closet door for all to see! I just like to see them...makes me feel so good.

Feeling blessed for all of your friendship!

Oh, fun project! What a cool way to make the leaves and pumpkin. I may start a table runner with pumpkins and leaves, once i get my stack of tops quilted. Thank you, Happylab.
