Vintage machines are older machines. Usually just straight stitch like the Featherweight or the Singer 301. I bought a 15-91 on Craigs List and now I'm hooked. Check out Billy's ( lostn51 )site on his virtual vintage sewing machine shop for pics of really gorgeous examples. He's going to do a tutorial on cleaning and oiling these "ladies". I bought these last two for practice. They both run but definitely need a little TLC. This is the older one, a little rough around the edges but shows a lot of promise.

We were a little worried about the quilt I sent being lost in the mail, but it has arrived. Nancy (thequilterslink) asked me to post a photo of the quilt I sent her.

cjaye I am so happy you love it!! It was really fun to do, and that is the first echo quilting I have ever done. I think it came out OK.

    Loved being your partner!! Janice

This is the April Doll Quilt that QuiltingQtr, pmasco, sent me. It is so dainty and she hand-quilted it so neatly. It is just so different and my camera doesn't do it justice. I'm so happy with it. Thank you so much Patricia.

I've had problems with my arthritis/pain to the point I haven't been able to finish the DQ I started for Patricia. I e-mailed Chele, but Patricia had already mailed the DQ, so told me to keep it. Chele is going to send her a DQ. I will get her a gift next time I'm out & get it in the mail.

    Thanks Patricia & Chele.

Can you see the dainty hand-quilting?

The 1 inch darker border pops the smaller squares out like 3D
