I have already admitted this to my swap partner smtp5 that I am a bit behind schedule on getting her DQ started but for a fairly good reason. I just found out that I am going to be a grandma for the very first time. My 30 yr old DD is unexpectedly expecting a little bundle in March. Everyone around here is very excited and deliriously happy about the news (I was beginning to think I would never get to be a granny and that she would never get to be a mommy. Now can I say to her what my Mom used to say to me, "Just wait till you have kids of your own!?!"

Thanks dslone! That was the first rag quilt I've ever made. Don't think I'm a fan. Oh well, now I know.

I second that!!! I am leaving for NC tomorrow night to see my new granddaughter, my grandson and my daughter & SIL. Can't wait!!

BTW = Here's the adorable redwork quilt that Ms. Grace sent me for this month's swap. Isnt it just amazing? Beautiful fabrics, and the machine embroidery is really pretty!!! Thanks, Jean...I just couldn't be happier.

I have her quilt in the works, but in the rush to get ready for my trip it'll have to be completed when I get back. I have it all in my head now, so it'll go quickly. Thanks for your patience, Jean, and I know it'll be worth the wait!! :-)
