Oldntatted, I don't think she did individual squares, she probably used stratas and cut them in a tube to get the look of individual looking squares. Your quilt is gorgeous. I love the colors she used in the background, it gives it a real movement.

Yiou wife was right about this months quilt you made it is beautiful.

    Mandie your quilt is spectacular.

Quilters of dq's you are doing a great job, so much eye candy.

OLDNTATTED, You want us to send you our PMS? You sure about that?! ;) I'm sure my husband would be thrilled.

I like the term "quilters." It's unisex. I'm bad about calling a group of everyone "guys." I'm sure the ladies take offense when I do that.

More great quilts! Love them all! Keep 'em coming! http://www.flickr.com/photos/51979904@N03/?saved=1

LOL Chele, I never felt offended by the term "guys" as I use that all the time! I know that Oldntatted might feel left out if we only used Ladies or girls! But it is hard at times to know who is male of female unless they use a given name ... tom, george, john... etc.. The new signatures are helping immensely in that area :) All and all, I think everyone is curtious here on the board.

Here is the quilt I made for tslowery. She had just gotten back from a trip and having trouble finding her camera.

Cjaye, your quilt is beautiful. I really like the color, and the pattern is very nice.

I have to say this swap has been GREAT!! All the quilts are fabulous. Especially the one made for me, cause it has my Dogger on it!

    Wonderful job done,
doing the cutting for all of them little squares,
You are more of a quilter than I will ever be.
My thread art can hide all of my (oops) Family chanel.
When a line isn't in line you see it.
that is what I have trouble with, keeping all pieces in place to plow through with the machine.

To much time on my hands.
Maybe that is why they hurt so???

I actually started out with a block I found in EQ7 somewhere, altered a few things, modified it to be a paper-pieced block, then had at it! The block itself has... I think... 112 pieces. I struggled with getting the decorative stitching to work right because my seams kept hanging up the feed-dogs, even with a walking foot. Then, my border gave me fits. I almost didn't send it... and was going to start over, but then I had to just accept that I cannot always be so hard on myself. I am so glad it was well-received.

Thanks again Misty, it was all awesome........ :XD:
What a great quilt! I thought you said you were going to do something simpler this month ;) ;) ;)
Actually... it was - as far as the time spent... yours took longer to make. There were way more pieces in the one I made you and I actually made two of the block sets so I could make my mom one too. This month's was more challenging to put together, but I was able to get it done faster because I didn't do all the free-motion quilting that I did on yours.

Now I am thinking about my next doll quilt.... I bet I won't be able to make something simple... it just isn't in my nature. I figure as long as I keep getting sent lovely doll quilts in the mail, I will keep sending out lovely doll quilts.

    :-)
