I watched the post, think I will try one tonight since I am procrastinating another project to see how easy it is.

Well, I did not get it done last night. I ended up sewing a star quilt together instead so I could clear the design wall so daughter can work on her bargello. Also, I do not have any fusible fleece. I think I am going to quilt up the sandwiches instead and see how that works. I will sew in the zipper, quilt, then finish sewing so the seams are finished and the zipper is hidden.

I do like how it looks. Showed husband and he was impressed as well. This would be one of those scrap fabric ideas as well. I need to make several sizes I think. This size, from the youtube post earlier, this one is perfect for the rotary cutter, pins, rippers, stileto, scissors, and such.

Note, if you do not have fusible fleece, a scrap of batting is perfect. I cut my pieces 1" larger for sizing issue, quilted only the outside to the batting. I did not use any backing when quilting and it worked fine for me. Trimmed and then finished as instructed on the video. This way the zipper is all inside the seams.
