Okay, being the newbie here I have a question...if we are making a 12 1/2" UNFINISHED block and my block pattern says "this makes a 12" block". Is that the same thing only finished. Oh my gosh does that make sense? Sorry for being so dense but I want to make sure my squares are the right size.

Probably so, but you might want to calculate it by the dimensions of the subparts just to be sure. Oh, and be sure to measure all blocks when they are completed.

Usually when it says it makes a 12" block it will end up being 12 1/2" unfinished. You are not being a pain so don't even think it.

OK ladies I'm going to ask a question which probably has been answered but I haven't seen a answer. Is all the fabric for these blocks batik or a mix?

I assume since it is a Batik Swap, ALL the fabrics would be Batiks, at least all my blocks and all the pictures from the participants contain only Batiks. Belles
