August birthday packages in the mailbox today. And ready for the next step in our mystery.

Barb, sorry about the new job, but doesn't that mean just more time for quilting? My part-time job teaching at the university has disappeared for the next year, so I have been drowning my sorrow in UFOs, new patterns I want to try and a massive plan to sew from my stash and donate, donate, donate! I am now mumbling something about lemons and lemonade. Tee-Hee-Hee! The perfect drink on a hot summer day. Right?

WMUTeach......yes more quilting! But I am also taking quickbooks class online so I can get certified. Both Desktop and Online. Doing all the webinars. Learning when you are 60 and when you are 20 is soooooo much different! For one thing I pay a lot more attention ! And do all the work. Don't have time to do anything over! lol

I was all caught up Step 10 today hopefully. Working on a round robin quilt also but have the idea in my head. Just hope it works out under the needle...

Grandson and Grandaughter on plane flying back across the country. So sad - but we had a wonderful time together. I am more than ready for my Chiropractors appt tomorrow!
Now to play catch up with lap quilt!
I can relate about learning new things. The only way I caught onto Quickbooks is because I had years of doing it all by hand and ledgers and knew what should happen!

Here are the letters I have received so far:

As a company Controller I loved Quikbooks, set it up to pay the company taxes to all entities, payroll, AP/AR, cost accounting, split a receipt with items for 2 or more projects, generate invoices, client & vendor list, and so much more. I miss working! It was a wonderful daily puzzle.
Joining an international charm swap later in the week! Ready to mail!
Went into town to get car inspected & new tag, wore the mask made from my Maker's Mark selvage. Some have sayings like Blossom Where You Are Planted, everyone commented on it.
Hubby can't get back from the base for 2 more weeks, yikes, guess I'll mow.
That's what going on around here.
How about y'all?
hugs,
dj

I mailed out the two August birthday girls candies this morning.

I love hearing what you have all been up to! I've taken a bit of a break from quilting this past month to sew myself some new dresses. I found an old western dress pattern from the 70's or 80's and I'm making it with a concealed nursing opening. I'm quite proud of myself actually! Dressmaking isn't my strong point.

And I have some big news. I'm expecting again!!! I have always wanted a large family and we are thrilled! I am hoping for a boy after three girls, but another girl would be a delight too! I'm due in February, I think. I have my first appointment booked for next month.

So I'm also making myself some new maternity dresses. After three pregnancies, I think I need a fresh wardrobe!
