DJMat, I am so pleased I just knew that I put it in the mail but was ready to send off another. Three Cheers for the post office!!!. It must be a day for late things, I got a Christmas card from a cousin today. Sent early December but was returned last week because she as undeliverable. I moved from that address 6 years ago! We had a good laugh and she resent the card and it arrived today. Ah, Christmas in February. And your birthday in February too!

I started working on the Feb color block pattern. I'm going to modify it and put it on point. Having fun sorting through candies again.

I also pulled out two tubs of 2.5" strips. I cut them thinking I'd use them that way, but so far the only time I've used them is to cut them into squares. So I think I'm going to cut them up into candies and go from there.

I do have a couple of totes of 1.5" strips, and those ones I've used quite often for scrappy quilts that are sort of "log cabin" in style. Hmm- I do have one that uses both 1.5 and 2.5 strips so maybe I"ll cut some lengths for that before I cut it all up into squares.

Jennr8r, lovely quilts! I know any baby will love them! My children love scrappy quilts; they look at them like I Spy quilts, even if they aren't technically.

Wesing, there was only one time this year that I had to pay $1.80 for my package. Every other time has been $0.71. The post office lady explained that the size of the yellow envelopes fall right between two categories so some workers charge the package size and some charge the envelope size. At least that's how I understood it...

I've been slowly cutting up fabric for next year's swap. I'm hoping to have everything cut and packaged before Baby comes. Only two weeks to go, but, boy! I hope Baby is early!

Wow how time flies! I can’t believe you are so close! I hope we get to see some pics when the big event happens. There are no more babies in my future until Emmaline is grown and has babies of her own.

Thanks for posting that explanation about the package/envelope pricing. It gives me a better feeling that my last set of candies will reach their destinations.

I took a package to the PO this morning too and asked to have it weighed to make sure I had enough postage on it. Same price, $0.75. I think I had been sending them for just slightly more all year. Oh, well. I bought enough $0.75 stamps for the next year of swapping. So sorry that you had been paying too much all year.
