As SusieQ said, there are SO many blocks that I don't think it makes any difference if there are duplicates. The different fabrics will make them DIFFERENT. What do the rest of you think?

I agree Joanne, that even with duplicates sent in, you won't get any duplicates unless you sent in 80 sets (riiiiiight), and even then they will look different because of fabrics. Remember you only get as many back as you sent in.

The same block made in different fabrics is sometimes hardly recognizable as the same block. I sure see no problem with more than one person using the same block pattern.

I agree! Make any block you like, even if they're the same, they'll be different!

I was thinking to myself as I was getting ready to cut the fabric- jeez- I thought I had more. A bit of straightening up and- viola' a few more choices appear! They are in the wash now. I swear I had 4 more fat quarters but I can't find them- probably someplace safe.

I picked 2 patterns- square in a square and card trick. I had a lot of fun with card trick when I did it for a block swap, I want to do it again. Since it's supposed to rain all day, the laundry will finally get done and 1 hour of cleaning and I'm ready to sew all day.

Now. that's my idea of a fun rainy day. I'll post pics later.

lol ~ Yeah...it's a very nice block. You should have your hubby snap a picture of you "collapses in dramatic heap on the floor" surrounded by fabric and blocks and post it....lol. Congrats on getting done in time.
