One of my favorite blocks!

Well I finally did it! I finished a block and it is a perfect 12 inch finished block 16 half square triangles....back to thangles! Maybe this head cold condition has something to do with it.....or maybe that the trip to the Doctor with my 83 year old mother to learn she needs gall bladder surgery made the day a stressful one. Any suggestions? I have enough to make a second block....this one is beautiful....just missing a half inch!

Hope your Mom's surgery goes well for both of you. I had problems with a block yesterday, so I know what you mean.

Really Nice Blocks Lib,

We are still talking with Doctors. The surgeon say the procedure is simple, however the risks of the anesthesia for age 83 is more of a concern. We still need to get clearance from her cardiologist..then decision time. She is so ill from gall stones that she wants to have it don. Praying for guidance.

This one is for Dungeon Quilter. Finally....it was my test of patience....finished at 12 inches.....had to make some adjustments while singing "Swing Low Sweet Chariot". Mr. B. decided to do without lunch today - Every cloud has silver lining.

I did my "Friends Star" in red, white and blue, with a diamond center. That is a tough one to do. You did a fabulous job with it. Congrats!!

Oh ...that is gorgeous! Very striking the way the colors lift from the background! I will take a closer look at this block for myself! Really nice!

Here is my block for Katskiddin. I named it "Pita full of Posies" I have to make a minor correction. If you look closely you can see it. Can't send it with the birds nest. Photo didn't show the very light periwinkle border. Taking the rest of the day off.
