You are welcome all. Thank you for the kind comments on my construction of your blocks. Even though I did both swaps, I was not hurried and can tell the difference. It is important to take the time and effort to make each one.

Thank you everyone for the beautiful blocks! And for your kind words and itrader ratings! I will add ratings this weekend, when I may have some breathing room.. I manage Income Tax business, with 34 offices under me.. and it is April... Crunch time! I have not had a full day off since Thanksgiving and won't now until I take a vacation April 20th.. I can't wait to breathe softly again!

I agree! There is always plenty of time....

Bluelady, hope tax season doesn't wear you out. Your vacation time will be here soon!

Don't know if anyone is still reading Hummingbird, so I posted my finished quilt on Quail. You can see pics here:

I just got the ok for Boom 21. I’ll post sign-ups on the 15th and a link here and on Quail as well. Spread the word! Those of you who are interested, get ready. I’ve got to get this one going fast or I’ll run up against a wall of unworkable dates at the end. No changes to the basic format except that everyone will be required to check in either online or directly with me weekly. Zero exceptions. If something comes up and you cannot keep in touch, you’ll need to get word to me so make a plan for that contingency. Thanks and look for the signup post on the 15th.

Hi Janice I am sorry to say that I will be unable to participate in the upcoming Boom. We had a family emergency and we are moving to Hesperia, California. Its going to be quite interesting as we are driving there will take about a week with all the stopping. I will be back for the next boom. I will miss you all but its just temporary till we get settled and I can start sewing again.

I enjoyed doing the Boom because the threads were so interesting to read, lots of activity going on in them (Hummingbird, and Quail), with chatting and pictures. I appreciated all that participation! I'd like to do another, but like others have said, I'd like to continue to work on what I've got going. I'm not so fast at finishing as some others are who are on the Board! Wow!

Recently I did a few color charm swaps (I used up most of purple and pink, but I have blue and red left), and the 9patch swap (I've got more than half to the star block state), and so I'm still using what I received from them-- and the Hummingbird Swap has the sashing plan and fabric chosen, but not further. And, sorry to admit, but I still have blocks from swaps from a couple of years ago that haven't reached the quilt top state yet too!!

But, I hope to do another Boom one of these times!

Bootsy, I'm so sorry for your family emergency... I'm kind of glad you will be moving away from all that bad winter weather, tho. That's gotta be a plus. I hope it's a good move for you. You can always lurk or chat in Boom 21. Look forward to doing 22 with you!
