Oh let me whine please. I had a fusion done on my greater toe in November last year. Was released in February. Foot was ok, slowly healing (apparently due to age they tell me). Going along, it swells, painful, and still uncomfortable to walk on. More so lately. I had an appointment a few weeks ago and then canceled telling myself it is just me. Went in yesterday because I just could not stand it anymore to find out I have a stress fracture in my second metatarsal joint. To beat all! This just sucks. I am back into a walking boot for four weeks. You know what this does to my gardening and yard work that needs done? Frustrating because I like to do that kind of work. Going to have to recruit some child labor. My girls can out work any man I think. I have seen them do it and they don't complain. One more load of compost and two truck loads of loam soil.
Thank you for letting me vent.

Oh QM so sorry. Those darn boots are so uncomfortable. Strongly recommend buying an arch support to put in boot. After my broken toe healed it took ages for my arch to quit screaming it’s displeasure

Yay, Juana! Both groups may end up being 3-month groups, so stay tuned. Talk to Janice. Hope you can play!

QM, so sorry about the toe. Did the fusion cause the stress fracture? I've had a broken toe before. Extremely painful! Hope your kids do the garden the way you want it. What a blessing they are, if they don't mind.

Ibex94, yes, of course you are in. I just emailed you. Thank you!

If we want to have a better chance to fill the groups, or at least have more participants, we’re going to have to switch to two three month groups. Let’s call it a done deal. Only three month groups this round. It certainly makes it easier on me with two mailings instead of three. Anyone wishing to withdraw may certainly do so if they are dissatisfied with this change. You can always join the next round with a two month group if that’s your preferred cup of tea. Thanks everyone.

Thank you for the gorgeous quilt block you are showing! Juana

I had an interesting doc appt today. It only took me 10 weeks to get in but was very happy to hear what they said. 9 years ago I had lap band surgery and it was not only a total flop for my losing weight I have had lots of side effects. At the time they poopooed me and blew me off upsetting me to no end. After gull bladder surgery decided to work on my health and removing lap band was high on list. The NP said they no longer perform lap band surgeries, people not only didn’t lose weight but they had many side effects. Imagine that To make long story short next week I will have blood work done and a EGD and UGI. If they don’t see any problems the long process for a lap band removal/ revision will start. Yeah.

Terri, some doctors seem to think any complaint that women have is just all in their heads. We should certainly know what our body is telling us and how we feel. Will this mean major surgery to remove the lap band? I hope everything goes great for you and your recovery is quick and complete.

QM - hopefully you can still sew - be a good patient and get better.
Terri - so glad you had some positive feedback and things are looking brighter - although still very scary.
