So glad you arrived safely in Wyoming Jaba. I find two days on the road to drain all my energy, you spend an additional day on the road than we do, I would be wiped out for sure.

Bet your DH can't wait to get his garden started now that he is back home.

Thank you all so much. Started to play with blocks today and just have to look at them a little while for the setting, then sew. Getting lots of exercise walking across this house and up and down the stairs. Kind of kicking my behind but I know it’s the best exercise for me.

glad you made it home safely jaba!

It's still a bit too soggy here for gardening. We're relocating our to be closer to the house and about half the size it was. We plan on putting in 3 raised beds that will be 4' wide by 50' long. And they have to be spaced far enough apart so DH can get the mower between them, about 7'. So it takes up a lot of room even though it's not a lot of cultivated area. Though I've found it works much better to have grass between the rows and mow than to try to keep the whole thing weed free.

Default Boom Biz: Feedback :) :) :)

Good morning, Sooners. Tomorrow, I'll start giving QB feedback. Does anyone have any comments about swap and the blocks you received and haven't yet shared with me? Positive and/or constructive criticism is very much welcome. If so, please email or pm me with your comments. Thanks.

For my part, I was very happy with what passed though my hands. Blocks were just lovely and generally well-constructed. Most color requests were honored. Thank you! I did find some very tiny seams on a couple of blocks (1/8 inch and even smaller) and I'll address that with the makers but most were 1/4 inch or a scant 1/4. Overall, practically every block I looked at was, or very nearly was, 12 1/2 inches square and neat and I found very little "wonkiness". Wonderful work, Sooners! Thank you all for your diligence and attention to detail as well as your creativity. And the finished blocks arrived on time, in fact, a bit ahead of schedule. Be still my heart! You all are a fine group of swappers.

Thank you all for your participation in Boom 22, Sooner Group.

Macybaby that really makes sense on mowing between the rows. No veggie garden for us this year first time in 30 years, just to much going on. Good luck on your move

I also put grass between my garden rows and around the plants after they have sprouted. It helps keep the moisture in and I don't have to de-weed the garden.

Cheesehead, he started raking pine needles and cleaning gutters yesterday. Today he's mowing so I know the rototiller will be out and working shortly. Not planting a huge garden this year, we just can't eat that much!! If we fly to Florida, I can only take so much in a suitcase. The apricot trees are all in bloom, yum, sure hope it doesn't frost. I better go see what the blocks look like to me today and decide to change how they are set or start sewing. I'll have to get use to the machine here all over again. Check in later ladies
