Mona--Happy birthday. Sounds like a wonderful weekend of celebrating.

Cathy, brrrrrr!!! I can't even tolerate 20 degrees F; can't fathom -19 or lower. Makes my bones ache just thinking about it... and I have no envy for you with the mud that'll result with the melting. Stay safe!

Sewbiz, I'm happy you like the suspenders. I think the block turned out pretty cute. You said to make the block we envision; well, that was it.

Thanks, everyone, for the compliments. Especially Kass: to hear "awesome" from you is the bee's knees. Haha

Beautiful blocks ladies! Mona that's a great block you made for SBG, it really showcases her fabric!

I made a bonus block for Hav4boys, I wasn't happy with the Aloha block I made for her last week.

Happy belated birthday, Mona!
Ladies, I have been plugging right along with my blocks for this group. I only have 2 left to do. I'm hoping that next weekend one of my computer geek nephews will come and get my computer back to where I can use my photo program again. I'm taking pictures as I make each block so maybe one day I can post them for you.
Everybody is doing a great job this time!

Negative 20!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think anything below 50 above is to cold for human habitation, there aren't enough coats I could pile on to even check the mail let alone stay out long enough to actually go to work. I live in eastern middle Oklahoma and think I am going to die every winter from the cold here, I can't even imagine.

It was 80 here today but the cold front you are experiencing is on it's way. Storms are coming through and then the temperatures are taking a dive. I think our high tomorrow may be around 50*, yes, it's still warmer than -20 but still not enjoyable. This will put a damper on all of the Mardi Gras parades and celebrations, I'm happy to stay indoors and sew.

We have a high of 10* today, with a wind chill of -10*. I would love 50*!

I made two more blocks today. Sugar Cones for NanaKathy:

And Cup and Saucer for Terri. I really wanted to do a classic '30's block with Terri's Aunt Gracie fabrics so I went digging in my retro '30's pattern books. I hope you like it. I love '30's fabrics!

NZ, I like both of those blocks! The Sugar Cones reminds of that game we used to play with folded paper, where you have numbered sections and the person holding ig pinches it north/south then east/west and asks a question. Then lifts a numbered flap. Do you remember that?

The teacup is the perfect choice for that 30's fabric! A curved seam--I'm impressed .

LOL LOL LOL This made me laugh b/c I had not thought about that game in years and years, but just last week the nurses in our local ER were destressing playing that game.
