Boom Biz - color requests - follow written requests please
Reminder! Do not use the gallery pix as examples of fabric colors you may use in a block. Please read your fabric requests and go by what is written, not by what you see in the pix. I'm waiting to hear back from one Boomer who gave an exception to her color requests and now I believe blocks are popping up that do not conform to the written request. I suspect pix are being used as guidelines but they shouldn't be. Once I hear back from the swapper, I'll let you know. Unless you have gotten approval from the fabric owner, please, please, please follow the written request.

Thank you for the beautiful blocks folks.
Jaba I love the little shots of red you scattered throughout the block.
gorgeous star Cheese!
libster I loved your use of colors in this complicated block. One I could never do.
Pamela such an unusual block yours and smGlover’s asymmetrical blocks are going to add some modern interest to the quilt I know my friend will love.
Many thanks everyone.
I finished wrestling with the lap quilt I’m quilting and it’s off to its next destination tomorrow. I ended up finishing it on my DSM since my sweet sixteen is on the fritz.
I hope to to get my first block, done or started today.

[QUOTE=jaba;8293081]mjp, what happened to your 16? I have 2 of the HQ 16 and my tune up guy has taught me quite a bit about them. Maybe I can help you.
Thanks Jaba,
Its a sweet 16 sit down machine. Sometimes it just stops and won’t let me bring the needle down. I could turn it off and restart it after 10 or 15 minutes and it would be fine. Now it won’t ever put the needle down.i get a

Heres what I have tried:
Cleaning out the bobbin area
oiling the bobbin
changing the needle.
Any ideas?
If you have no suggestions, Now on that the problem isn’t intermittent I will bring it into the shop. It’s always difficult to solve intermittent problems.
Many Thanks Jaba.

Boom biz - please post your color requests
I’ve received questions from some swappers asking for clarification on requests as well as some comments about blocks not following the requests. I’m finding that it’s very widespread. Often, it seems to be that the requests are just scanned and not thoroughly read or understood. I also feel some are inadvertently ambiguous. What I’d like to do is have everyone post their requests here, even if you’ve had no issues.
Before the next round (early next year) I’m going to try to figure out how to avoid the color problems and I will ask for everyone’s input. But for now, please post your requests, exactly as you sent them, and let’s see if we can get this under control. I’m not looking for complaints, only information so let’s keep this helpful and positive. Thank you, Night Owls!

This is what I sent Thanks for swapping w/ me. For this boom I would like any colors in the frog print in the boom album. I will be appliquing the frogs to the quilt. Prints, solids, tot, blenders are all fine. Please no children’s or holiday prints. Use your imagination and most of all have fun.

Well..... I can’t find a copy of exactly what I sent but basically I requested that boomers use any color in the fabric to match and please not use white or black. I am looking for a colorful quilt.
