Great blocks everyone! and I'm impressed with how much mask sewing everyone's done!
I discovered something new about myself this morning as I was trimming blocks and cutting threads in prep for sending out my completed pieces.
I always considered purple my favorite color and find myself gravitating to buying purple fabric. But I was surprised to find that, of the blocks I constructed, my favorites were not the purple ones... instead, I discovered i absolutely love blue and yellow together (JaniceMcC and SuziSew). I have never actually used those together in my quilts, but I think I need to explore that more!

Good Tuesday morning, Boomers. Another sunny day in Georgia.
QuiltingLawyer, terrific blocks. The blue and yellow combination is a classic and very popular. I love it.
Reminder that there are about 7 weeks to finish blocks. Lots of time left.
Have a happy day.

I got off the phone with the USPS a short time ago and am very frustrated. I ordered an item that was due here on the 16th that has not yet arrived. By tracking the package I discovered that it had been scanned at the sellers end to go out but has not moved from that status since. Meaning it was never checked in at the Post Office. The postal response is because of COVID-19 The postal service is down in staff by about 30% plus so packages get to sit in limbo for who knows how long. In my case it never even made it to the post office for check in. Talk about frustration. I am so glad I kept the tracking number of my package. I had to post this only because I know how JaniceMc reminds us all the time with each Boom the importance of tracking numbers. It may be more important this time around than ever,

julia - we have had that happen to us a lot lately. my theory is that the seller issues a label and tracking number, but because of things being on back order or just busy, they never actually take it to the post office to send. it seems they are just "buying time" until the product is actually available to send out. it is likely not the fault of usps at all. I would check in with the seller.

I just looked through the album.... these are going to be some beautiful quilts ladies! I love how everyone uses different techniques and styles. I've decided that this quilt is going to be for my youngest niece. That will get me one step closer to having all three done so if we ever get to travel again I will be able to take them to them in Ohio. I miss those girls so much!
Stay safe and healthy out their ladies!

Hubby put a call into UPS tech service this morning and he went into a waiting Q, they said aprox. 13 minute wait time. Turned out to be 21 minutes. Frustrating for everyone.
It’s funny how the different booms have an “ in” color. In the past we have had Off white tone on tone, light gray’s and one time it was lots of orange. This was definitely a purple boom. Since it’s one of my favorite colors I had lots to choose from.
This block is for H4B, my last one is cut out and will finish it this afternoon.

Marcialee, thank you so much for my block! I love it! You've been busy getting so many completed and they all look great!
I'm still working full time, and even though it's from home it still doesn't really get me any extra time sewing. I did get a couple more done over the weekend, just need to get them posted.

Reminders! You are all making 19 blocks; you each received 19 F8s. All blocks should be 12 1/2 inches square or as close to that goal as you can reasonably get. Blocks should be well-constructed and follow the color requests (if any) of each individual swapper. Please return all blocks in the original ziplock baggies you received the f8 in and be sure to put your name on each package where I can easily see it. This becomes critically important in the event of a miscount or a missing block. When you are ready to ship your blocks back to me, please let me know a few days in advance of shipping so I'll be ready to receive them. If I don't know they're coming, I won't miss them if they are delivered to the wrong address, something that happens all too frequently recently.
Thank you, Boomers!

I was on the phone with ATT/Directtv for one and a half hours today, two separate calls but the second call I was on hold for 30 minutes once I talked to someone it took about 10 minutes to get my new remote.
