JayneW, I’m sorry to hear about your former FIL. It seems like almost everyone is being touched by Covid in some form. I continue to hope people will keep on getting vaccinated. A friend who had the vaccine and has some medical issues is struggling to recover from a breakthrough case. Luckily, he’s improving daily but it’s not easy for him. We wonder how much worse it would have been had he not had the vaccines.

terriamn My prayers go out to you. I lost a special sister and BIL one month ago and I am still overwhelmed by their loss knowing it could have been prevented if they were vaccinated. I will keep your friend in my prayers.

terriamn, so sorry for your loss. I hope that his wife doesn't give up the fight because she lost her husband. Prayers to all from my corner of the world.

Julia and Jayne so sorry you have also suffered losses from this horrid virus

Thanks for all the prayers, Nancy is getting stronger every day. She won’t give up the fight, she has strong faith and her sons to live for. I truthfully don’t know if I could be as strong as she is.

On a much happier note the racks for my sewing room overflow arrived yesterday and dh put them together right away. Today starts the task of facing up to my plethora of fabric, tops, blocks and accessories as I put them away. With them not hid away out of sight maybe I will actually finish them

My boyfriend and I just signed up for the first level of sailing certification! First step toward retiring and living on a sailboat! Maybe I'll start a blog, the sailing quilter!

We just heard a former church friend (who moved to another state) died of covid a few days ago. He's about the same age as us. I don't know the particulars.

The vax does not prevent you from getting the virus and has been fatal or debilitating for some. It's a crap shoot. We do not know enough about what they are injecting us with and the long term health effects of it. My daughter has had problems with miscarriages since getting "the jab". I cautioned her not to get it, but of course I know nothing....

No vax for me. I'm working to keep my natural immunities up. So far, so good. If I get sick, I will want to be treated early with one of the proven therapeutics.

Terri, have fun arranging your new sewing room.

Jayne, hope you love living on a sailboat. I knew several people that did when I lived on Maui. It's all lovely but you need a plan for storms! And winter.

JayneW, that sounds very exciting! I’m definitely not one for sailboats but I can appreciate your love of them and the life. Good luck!

Terriamn, I’m sure you’ll do a great job arranging your stash. I hope you are able to finish more quilts now that they’ll be easier to find. I’m not having much success in my room. It’s a small area and I haven’t the storage I had before. Right now it’s still mostly in boxes and plastic bins. I’m kind of at a loss as to how to arrange the area. Oh, well. I’ll figure it out.

But I have a delightful piece of news. Guess who will be a grandmother again! DS and DDIL are due in April. Little Charlie will be a big sister. Woo hoo!

JayneW - we were fulltime RVers and one of our friends were fulltime boaters. So many places to go - just need to know the ropes in each place and country.

SewBiz - my cousin just got out of hospital for having several pulmonary embolisms. Doctors all concurred that it was the result of the her getting the shot. She had no other issues beforehand and they are seeing more coming in with this. Scary world. We are not getting it - but we have had it and have anti-bodies. Daughter and SIL both work from home and both employers are pushing them to get the shot. They are working at home!! Scary

I am working on my row robin and loving being able to create for someone else.
