Wow! My eyes popped out when I saw your block, Lstew! It's so gorgeous. I love that! I made one for Polkweed today too, my attempt at an improv block. Polkweed, I LOVED this fabric. What is it? I hope it's still available.

Also made a block for Travelinggramma. Evening star...

Loving the modern improv blocks, it’s really added some zing to the boom, hugs!

Two beautiful blocks, Terri! I love my red, white, and blue. That's a block I haven't seen before. Your block for Hav is so perfect and precise!

Thanks Sewbiz, you block is a Pat Sloan pattern, thought it would work great with your fabric

I am not good at impro blocks, drives me crazy trying to make something look wonky

If anyone sees a mistake I've made with the picture gallery, or if I have missed uploading a photo, please do let me know so I can fix it. We have 65 beautiful blocks uploaded already, from both groups! Wow.

Weather is amazing here today... cool and breezy in Mississippi. Praying for our board friends in the path of the Hurricane, including our own petthefabric!

Love my block Terriamn.

Hoping to start the Pumpkin blocks this weekend. Not sure why I started with the Holly. Just the ones I picked up.

is improv the same as modern?

The boomers are being very productive in a short period of time! Except for me, lol.

To my way of thinking, improv is making it up as you go along. Modern would be anything non-traditional, including a trad block done in non-trad fabric. I'm not the Quilting Dictionary, tho. Maybe someone else has better definitions.

The hurricane appears to be really ripping up Florida. Hope petthefabric is safe and sound.
