is improv the same as modern?

The boomers are being very productive in a short period of time! Except for me, lol.

To my way of thinking, improv is making it up as you go along. Modern would be anything non-traditional, including a trad block done in non-trad fabric. I'm not the Quilting Dictionary, tho. Maybe someone else has better definitions.

The hurricane appears to be really ripping up Florida. Hope petthefabric is safe and sound.
