I like this basket to go with the floral print.

Great block for Halloween.

finished the baby quilt, Little girl arrived three weeks early. I had to put a rush on it.
The doilies in the quilt were made by our great- grandmother.

Polkweed I would hate to have you break your promise to yourself. My fabric would work well with just a light colored background, a soft green or beige. Hoping you can find a neutral in your stash or I would be happy to send you one or 2

You don't have to go modern for mine at all. But if you want to give it a go anyway I think Tula Pink's "City Sampler" quilt is a good example of modernist block designs. A lot of traditional elements are used, like HST or log cabins, but the proportions and spacing are changed up.

The problem was I didn't have any soft green or beige! So when my friend asked me to go with her to a local remnants shop, I took it as a sign from the universe and stocked up a bit. I've got a Halloween costume to finish, but then Ill be free to get back on the horse.
